She is currently a student of fine art in Dublin, Ireland. Her abstract painting draws deeply on personal experience and she is inspired by Anni Albers, Agnes Martin, Richard Gorman, Mark Rothko and Sean Scully.

She has had three solo exhibitions - one at the Dower House Gallery at Emo Court in Co. Laois,one at Westival in Westport and another at Avolon's private gallery and has participated in group shows including at the RHA School. Two of her artworks are in the Irish State Collection. Ellie has Down Syndrome.
